About the treatment

Bleaching is used to lighten hair when a regular colour treatment is not sufficient for the desired result. It can involve touching up regrowth or lightening all of the hair.

For regrowth, you can choose 2–3 cm or 4–5 cm. We assess the length of your regrowth, previous bleaching and hair condition to determine a suitable approach. Longer regrowth can require a different method to achieve an even result.

With full-head bleaching, we work on lightening all of the hair. How light it can become depends on your current colour, previous colouring and hair condition. Some results require more than one appointment.

Before treatment we assess whether your hair is suitable. Fragile or previously chemically treated hair may need a strand test. The condition of your hair determines what is achievable; a very light shade is not always possible in a single appointment.

After bleaching we discuss whether a toner is needed to finish the desired tone. You receive guidance on care for lightened hair and heat protection.
